Educational Interpreter

We are seeking a qualified educational interpreter to facilitate communication among deaf and hard of hearing students and their hearing peers, the classroom teacher, and other personnel and to interpret in-service meetings and workshops if requested.  

Primary Duties

• Provide interpreting services in all areas of the educational environment. 

• Prepare for daily lessons/school-related activities and preview media for interpreting. 

• Maintain ethics and standard of educational interpreting according to the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment guidelines.

• Attend staff meetings and in-services.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree required. 

• EIPA Score of 3.5 required or ability to obtain within a year of hire. 

• Ability to interpret academic classes at all academic levels.

Salary will be based on degree(s) and experience.
